The mission of Meadowbrook High School is to be a safe and inviting educational center providing excellent opportunities for all students based upon high expectations in academics, technology, and social development through a strong partnership with the community. Our goal is to graduate college and career ready students in order to be active and productive members of the community. In my role as principal, I will strive to ensure opportunities for all students that will ensure they graduate with 21st century skills in communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. My goal is to provide opportunities that give students a step ahead with an education that has given them an edge that may include certifications, credentials, college credit or workplace training. Through the support of generous alumni, local donors and grant opportunities our school is able to provide an education that is technologically enhanced with excellent staff that are trained in researched-based highly effective educationally best-practices. All students are provided an iPad for daily instruction that allows them to engage in the curriculum at a level that enables the creation of unique products unachievable without access to the device. This extends the classroom beyond the boundaries of the typical period and enables students to develop necessary 21st century skills for a successful future. We have developed partnerships with multiple colleges and universities as well as other local high schools to offer the possibility of hundreds of courses for students to earn high school and college credit. Our students are able to participate in the Colt College & Career Center that allows them to earn these credits within our school usually taught by our own credentialed staff free of cost to students and families. All students are supported in their future pathway with multiple courses that focus on career readiness throughout their high school career. Partnerships with area businesses, industries and community organizations allow students to experience the needs in the workforce through job shadowing and mentoring while students are also directly connected with adult career programs, community colleges and universities. Meadowbrook High School is also proud of the opportunities for students to be involved and make an impact in the school and community. From our excellent athletic programs to organizations such as FFA, DECA, Interact, FCCLA, NHS, Student Council, Environmental Club, Photography Club, Lifeline, Vocal and Instrumental music, and FCA (just to name a few) students are able to find a place to grow and develop positive relationships.
Feel free to contact the high school at any time if you would like to be involved in our school or would like more information at 740-685-2566. Thank you,
